Fair & Equitable Funding
Families want fairer, more equitable funding to ensure their children have the support they need to thrive. Families believe schools serving students with greater academic and social emotional needs should receive more resources to support those needs.

Fair & Effective School Governance
Families want to know that their schools are governed by people who look like them, understand their families’ unique needs, and are equipped for the job of governing. CPS has a number of formal leadership groups responsible for making decisions about individual schools and the district as a whole. We’re here to help explain the role of each leadership group and how you can get involved.

Social-Emotional Learning
Families want effective social-emotional learning opportunities for their children that nurture emotional intelligence, foster positive relationships, enhance academic performance, and equip students with valuable life skills.

High-Quality Teaching
Families want well-trained, culturally responsive teachers who teach engaging content in respectful, safe, and student-centered learning environments that inspire and nurture the potential of each student.

Fair Accountability
Families want an accountability system to offer a clear and complete picture of school performance and progress, and they want to understand how the district is supporting schools and evaluating their effectiveness.

Digital Equity & Inclusion
Families need access to technology to thrive academically, professionally, and personally. The internet is no longer a luxury; it is a necessity to engage in today’s rapidly changing world.
