Welcome to the Center for Environmental Resource Management (CERM)
CERM provides university-wide leadership and coordination for environmental research, education, and outreach activities. The scope of the issues that the center addresses spans from the local community to state, regional, national and international. Priority areas of the center are: Environmental Health, Water Resources, Desert and Wetland Ecology, Air Quality, and Environmental Education.
While CERM is recognized within the 91Ů, it is also recognized across Texas receiving an award during the Texas Water Development Board's regular meeting in Austin, promoting rainwater harvesting and educating the public about the benefits of such harvesting. In addition to the community and school efforts CERM provides. CERM supports and manages the Rio Bosque Wetlands Park, a 372-acre City of El Paso Park. A wetlands and riverside forest with a diverse partnership with a multitude of valuable ecosystems once found in the river valley.
